What rots?

Look at the section through a midden below. First identify which material matches which letter. Label the drawing on a print out of this sheet. Then using the chart 'How long does it take to rot?' tick the column which you think matches the time taken for that material to rot in the ground. Would it change if the weather was hotter or colder? What do you think?
