Conclusion

'I say, that Watson fellow is a dull sort of chap, what?  Holmes however, is little short of a genius, don't you think?  Dashed brilliant I thought, how he deduced that one witness was of a somewhat vain disposition.  Holmes swiftly established that she was of more advanced years than she proclaimed, simply by observing the quality of her notepaper.'

I won't enquire which one of you was 'Holmes' and who was 'Watson', but you can ask your teacher if you don't understand the passage above.

We hope you enjoyed the project and that you have gained some insight into what life was like in Victorian times.  We also hope you have realized that Holmes solved so many brilliant cases mostly because he was extremely observant and well organized.  Although Holmes was a fictional character, some people think that Conan Doyle's stories sowed the seeds of modern forensic science.

One thing you will certainly have learned - a few minutes preparation and planning made your whole project much easier and more successful in the long run.
