The Task

To be a Rock expert you need to 'brush up' on what you know about rocks.

• The first job is to look in detail at a collection of rocks and work out their properties (different things about them, e.g. colour, texture etc.) How are they similar and how are they different?
• Then you are going to test yourselves by playing 'Guess the Rock'.
• Finally you are going to make a Database of rocks using the computer.
