The Task

After visiting the garden centre for advice, you have decided to test the soil in the front garden to see how it is affected by rainfall or watering. Gran needs to know whether her soil will hold water or not. Once she knows what type of soil she has, she can look for plants that like lots of water, not too much water or ones that like very little water.

Your task is to carry out experiments to test the soil and then give Gran some advice on the plants which best suit her garden.
