Click To Download THE PROCESS

In order to complete this webquest you need to use all of the hyperlinks provided to view the evidence. You have five lessons so plan your time wisely.

Follow the steps below....

Weeks 1 and 2:

  1. Write down the questions that you need to consider in order to write your diary from the point of view of an evacuee.

  2. Look at the websites provided and gather your evidence. Remember to take your age and whether you are a boy or girl into consideration. This may affect what you find out!

Week 3 and 4:

  1. Begin to write your diary entries using the dates that you researched. DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU ARE WRITING FROM ANOTHER PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW IN THE PAST AND THEREFORE NEED TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO USE WORDS SUCH AS 'COOL' WHICH WERE NOT IN USE THEN!

Week 5:

  1. When you have finished writing your diary entries, read them out to the rest of the group, deciding on the tone and expression needed.

  2. Record onto audio cassette.

Here are the links to the pages which you need.
