Stage One

You need to find out some background information on the Aztecs.  Visit this site to find out the answers to these questions:

1.  Which valley did the Aztecs settle in?

2.  What was the name of the city that the Aztecs built in 1325?

3.  Who was the first Aztec emperor?

Stage two

In order to create the menu for your Aztec party, you need to find out the types of food the Aztecs enjoyed and how they cooked them. Make a list of the foods that you find from these sites in your workbook (under the title 'Food'.)

Click on the pepper to play the Aztec food game!

Click on the oven to find out how the Aztecs cooked!

Did you know - the Aztecs invented chocolate? Find out more by clicking on the chocolate bar.

Stage 3

An Aztec party needs some good music to get everybody dancing!

Click on the drum to hear some groovy Aztec music

When you've heard the music try creating some of your own.

There's no point having music at your party, if you're not going to get up and dance like an Aztec! Try putting some moves to your music - Click on the dancer to discover some moves.

Stage 4

When the Aztecs had some spare time, they played games. Some of the games you play today were originally invented by the Aztecs. In your workbooks write down these questions under the title 'games,' and answer them after visiting the games site.

1.  Which game used a rubber ball?

2.  Which game was played in the form of a cross?

3.  Name four toys that the Aztec parents made for their children?
